Writing Helped Me Find My Voice We all have things we try to hide — our insecurities, our homes, our tempers, our pasts. For me, one of those things is ... I have to make a little confession.

Over the years, I’ve discovered something about myself: I express myself best through writing, not speaking.
Face-to-face conversations often throw me off. I might forget what I wanted to say or get distracted by the moment. But when I write, it opens up a whole new level of "public speaking" for me. Writing gives me the space to pause, reflect, and choose the right words. It gives me time to process a thought before I share it. And in that space, I find my voice.
Don’t get me wrong — I love to talk! But mostly with people I’m very close to. Talking out loud, especially in front of others, takes a lot of practice for me. Every time I speak up, I have to step outside of my comfort zone. And being “put on the spot” — especially when all eyes are on me — still throws me off.

Even my kids have picked up on it. Sometimes they'll come to me and say, “Mom, can I ask you something — but please don’t turn it into a whole topic!” It’s funny because, for me, it’s hard to explain things in just one sentence. I often want to give context, background, and more detail (maybe it’s the bookkeeper in me!).
I've been a bookkeeper for over seven years now. It’s a job that requires deep focus, precision, and attention to every little transaction. I track every detail and how it connects to the bigger picture of the business. I can’t help but think that this career shaped my personality — or maybe I was drawn to bookkeeping because of the way I’m wired. Either way, our jobs and gifts have a way of forming us. And sometimes, God uses our work to bless others in ways we didn’t expect.
Someone once told me, “What you know and can do, God can use in such a way that it will glorify Him.” I’ve seen that come true. Over the years, working with many business owners, I’ve learned that bookkeeping isn’t just about numbers. It’s about trust, integrity, and building relationships. For some clients, I’ve been able to be a blessing — and they’ve become part of a faith-driven journey for me.
And now, back to writing.
My blog posts usually start with a thought — something I’ve heard, read, or experienced in life. Some posts take just a few hours to write, others take months to fully develop. I do a lot of research to make sure my posts are understandable and meaningful. Sometimes a post feels “ready,” but I’ll realize it needs more support, a new thought, or a better way of saying what I mean.
It takes me hours just to write down my thoughts. Then comes rephrasing, editing, and rewriting until it feels like the post really says what I want it to say.

But here’s a little confession.
We all have things we try to hide — our insecurities, our tempers, our pasts. For me, one of those things is my English.
I came to the U.S. as a teenage girl. Over the years, my English has improved a lot. But during the season when I was a stay-at-home mom, I didn’t get to practice much. Now that I homeschool my kids, my English is getting better again — especially because I check their work every day! They love to share what they’ve learned, and sometimes their favorite thing is to correct my grammar and pronunciation. They’ve become little English teachers for me.
And now, here’s the truth: since we live in a world full of helpful tools, I use one of them — ChatGPT — to help me write my blog posts. It helps me express my thoughts in proper English so others can understand what I truly want to say.
Every post still comes from my heart — my thoughts, experiences, and the research I do. I’m just using a tool that helps me share it more clearly.
I’m sharing this because my business is built on trust. Just as my clients trust me to handle their finances with honesty and care, I want my readers to know that I value transparency here too.
So yes, I write with the help of ChatGPT. But the ideas are mine. The stories are real. And the heart behind every post? That’s all me.
This post is based on my personal ideas and experiences. I use ChatGPT to help with wording and structure.
