There’s something about Thanksgiving season that makes me look back and see God’s fingerprints all over my life — especially in the moments when I thought everything was falling apart.

I am so thankful for God’s perfect timing.

Not my timing… not when I wanted things…

but His timing — the one that always turns out to be right.

There was a season when we sold our first townhouse and couldn’t find a new home. We moved in with my parents while searching, but month after month nothing worked out. It was stressful, uncomfortable, and honestly — discouraging.

What made it even harder was that our firstborn was getting ready for kindergarten, and we didn’t even know what school she would go to. I remember that pressure like it was yesterday. You want to give your child stability, and yet everything felt uncertain.

But just when we felt stuck, God moved.

Three weeks before school started, He opened the door.

A home.

A place.

A perfect fit.

Just in time… but in His time.

Looking back now, I see it so clearly — He wasn’t late.

He wasn’t silent.

He was preparing.

Sometimes God’s timing aligns with our wants, and sometimes He asks us to wait. And even though waiting feels like standing still, He’s actually working ahead of us, arranging everything with wisdom we don’t see yet.

This Thanksgiving, I’m grateful for every moment I thought was a delay…

because each one was just God setting the stage for something better.

His timing has never failed me — and it never will.
