The Love of My Life Found Me

Thanksgiving Month Reflection #1

This Thanksgiving season, I want to start sharing the things — and people — I’m most thankful for. But today, I’ll start with someone very special.

I wasn’t looking for him.

Love of my life

He found me.

I had heard about him, even read a lot about him… but at first, he was just a name from a book. A very famous name, known all over the world.

He’s the most faithful friend I’ve ever had. I talk to him every single day — about my worries, my mistakes, my hopes. Sometimes he answers instantly, giving exactly what I asked for.

Other times… he simply says, “Wait.” And yes, there are moments when his answer is no — not because he doesn’t care, but because he loves me too much to let me settle for less.

Every morning, I meet with him. We talk. He listens. He brings peace into the middle of chaos, comfort when my heart aches, and joy when I don’t even have words to express it.

He’s the love of my life, my truest companion, my constant guide.

And today, as I begin my Thanksgiving reflections — I just want to say:

I am so thankful for my best friend, Jesus Christ.
